We have tried to include the more "significant" organisations in each country. A good number of these, in turn, offer very comprehensive lists of links to orchid societies and other organisations in those countries.
Do bear in mind that few countries have national bodies like the BOC, and that many orchid societies do not have web sites. |

A fully comprehensive and regularly updated list of genera, identifying Tribe and Sub-Tribe, and component genera for hybrids. An invaluable judging tool at Shows when assigning a plant to its correct class. |

The charity Riotrust, or RAFT for short, supports the conservation of two privately-owned forest reserves in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, fragments of the mere 4% remaining of original Atlantic Coastal Rain Forest. RAFT's highly regarded in situ conservation work is only part-funded through ecotourism. |
